Fruzsina Jámbor - Szilvia Gaál
Abstract
The Women Entrepreneurs' Community "Nő a TÉT" is a support network established by local women entrepreneurs and professionals in Göd and the Northern Pest region of Hungary. Its mission is to provide professional development, self-awareness support, and a sense of community for women, while enhancing the visibility and economic independence of female entrepreneurs. This case study examines the social, economic, and community-driven factors that led to the formation of the community, traces its development stages and organisational processes, and highlights its activities and services. Particular attention is paid to the challenges associated with maintaining self-organisation, the transition to a market-based model, and the evolving roles of founders. The study demonstrates how a grassroots women's community at the local level can drive genuine social and economic change while adapting to the challenges of the 21st century.
